Hope in California Events: Halloween at Pumpkins in the Park
This October, we were thrilled to take part in Pumpkins in the Park, an incredible Halloween Event hosted by Hope in California Events on the grounds of Stockwood RFC. The event brings families and local businesses together for a full day of fun. From pumpkin picking to face painting, thrilling rides, and music, it was a wonderful celebration of autumnal joy.

How our day went as a Trader at Pumpkins in the Park
Our Halloween stall joined the lineup of local traders, a perfect fundraising event for a meaningful cause. Seeing families laughing, children proudly showing off their pumpkins, and neighbours connecting made the day truly special. This local charity event is a highlight in the calendar for the Stockwood RFC community.

Setting Up Our Halloween Stall

The morning started bright and crisp as we arrived at Stockwood RFC to set up our stall. We brought a range of Halloween themed earrings, sensory toys, wall art, baby mobiles and a few more of our favourite items. We worked hard to make our display inviting. This included showing our cot mobile and Christmas baubles hanging from our structure above our stall. Meanwhile, other stalls buzzed with activity. This showed why Pumpkins in the Park is such a successful Halloween Event.

We were ready for visitors to explore. It was such a joy to see people stop by, chat, and share stories as the Halloween event got underway. Each moment reminded us why community events like this Pumpkins in the Park local charity event mean so much. They bring people together for something bigger than themselves.

Jess’s Story: The Heart Behind the Hope in California Events Charity
A special part of Pumpkins in the Park, hosted by Hope in California Events, was raising awareness for Jess’s story. Jess is a brave young boy living with severe allergic eosinophilic asthma and a life-threatening allergy to cow’s milk.
Despite being hospitalised over 50 times, Jess continues to face the world with courage. His family recently discovered the Food Allergy Institute in California. This is a a groundbreaking centre offering children like Jess the chance to live a life without fear.
This local charity event reminded everyone why community gatherings like Pumpkins in the Park matter, they create awareness and connection. There truly is hope, and Jess’s and his family resilience continues to inspire everyone.

Supporting a Future Without Fear
While we simply ran a stall and joined in the fun, we left deeply moved by the compassion and kindness we witnessed. The work being done by families like Jess’, and organisations such as the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, continues to make a difference for children living with life-threatening allergies.
We’re grateful to have played a small part in this wonderful day at Stockwood RFC, surrounded by laughter, pumpkins, and purpose. This fundraising event reminded us how much community support can achieve.

Thank You, Stockwood RFC Community
As the day came to an end and the last pumpkins were sold, we felt nothing but gratitude. Pumpkins in the Park was a perfect mix of fun, family, and heart. It was a reminder of what happens when a community comes together.
We can’t wait to return to more halloween events. We aim to continue supporting local charity events, sharing smiles, and celebrating the best of Stockwood RFC.
Because sometimes, a day filled with pumpkins, laughter, and kindness is exactly what hope looks like.
